£5,000 was granted to enable Sheffield Wednesday's Community Foundation to run their summer football camps for 6 weeks during the school holiday's. This meant children from many different areas of Sheffield were able to take part in organised activities under supervision from qualified coaches.

£500 was approved by the Trustees to help in the adaptation of a car to enable a 10 year old girl from Sheffield who suffers from cerebral palsy and is blind and deaf. The child was immobile and unable to communicate and was fed through a tube in her tummy. The family could not afford to to pay for the adaptions to the car to enable the whole family to travel together. With the funding from the charity, this meant that the whole family could enjoy time out together.

£3,413 was raised at our Doncaster Race Course Fun Run and presented to Bluebell Wood Hospice.

£500 was approved for St Giles Primary School at Killamarsh to replace many of the books in their library, some of which were over 20 years old. The children had raised some money themselves and the Trustees wanted to boost the funds to enable the school to provide more books to capture their imagination and interest in reading.

The Parents for Harley Children in Rotherham were seeking £1,200 to top up their massive fundraising efforts to provide a playground for the village which had no facilities for the local children. The mums had been fundraising since 2005 to give the village a playground and the Trustees approved the funding so the playground can finally go ahead.

£1,162 was approved by the Trustees to fund a lightweight wheelchair for a local girl to attend college. Lois has brittle bones and, during her life, has suffered 80 fractures, 5 operations on her femur and tibia and an operation to rod her spine - she also has a cyst on her brain. The wheelchair allowed her more independence and to attend college and help her mum get her in and out of the car more easily.
